Der kleine Bruder ist kein Kind und kein VW Bus, ja nicht einmal ein VW. Aber ein Fahrzeug mit historischem Hintergrund und mit VW Motor Made in GDR.
Mangels einer eigenen Domän muss der kleine Bruder mit einer Unterseite auf dem Brutusweb auskommen. Genau wie bei richtigen Kindern müssen Geschwister teilen: das Werkzeug, die Zuwendung, die Liebe der Familienmitglieder. Er heißt Brummel: ein Trabant Universal 1.1 EZ 09.11.1990 in Papyrusweiß (ja ist auch keine schönere Farbe als das Brutusbeige).
Ich wollte schon lange einen (einen 601er hatte ich als Student und bin geheilt: Ständig Zündaussetzer trotz Elektronikzündung, etwas zu wenig Motorleistung) und jetzt ist es ein Ungarn-Heimkehrer mit knapp 23000 km auf dem Tacho geworden. Die wenigen gefahrenen Kilometer scheinen echt, viele Originalteile wie der erste Auspuff (mit Jahresangabe) und die Narva Leuchtmittel rundum sind mögliche Belege. Und das Wichtigste: Das Fahrzeug war in unverbasteltem Originalzustand. Das soll zumindest von der Sichtbarkeit her so bleiben, Verbesserungen im Detail oder Sicherheitsnachrüstungen wird es aber geben sowie moderate Aufwertungen mit IFA-Teilen.

It is just as with real kids, everything has to be shared: tools, attention and the love of the family. The car has got the name Brummel. It is a Trabant Universal, 1.1 liter gasoline engine, registration date Nov11th in 1990. The name of its original color is papyrus-white.
I always wanted a Trabi with 4stroke engine. Upon a time I owned a 2stroke limo (model 601) but it bothered me with ignition problems (despite electronic ignition), the car created much noise and too low power. Now I have got a homecomer from Hungary with quite low mileage (less than 23000 km).The low mileage seemed to be genuine. Many parts are original such as light bulbs (type NARVA) or exhaust pipe. This original trim shall basically be preserved but technically or safety changes will be done likewise. original parts are preferred to do that.
