Der Urzustand unseres T3 kurz nach dem Kauf im Mai 2003 ist hier dokumentiert:
Unglaublich aber wahr, das Auto hatte keinen Rost. Nicht an den Fugen, nicht am Frontscheibenrahmen, nicht hinter der Stoßstange vorn. Der Vorbesitzer hatte dem Fahrzeug eine Ladung Dinol angedeihen lassen, das Zeug ist immer noch überall und schützt bis heute die meisten Teile der Karosse vor Rost.
Die Innenverkleidungen haben den harten Einsatz in der Klempnerei nicht überstanden. Auch der Innenausbau war für das Handwerk ideal, für uns musste er natürlich raus.

I could not beliefe it, the vehicle had almost no corrosion even not at the typical places: windshield frame, body joints and not behind the front bumper. The first one and only owner had invested in a special anti corrosive cure (Dinol). Most of the chassis still gains benefit from it.
However, the interior showed marks of years of heavy work for the plumbing workshop. The furniture for this trade had to be removed.
